Match Preview: Man Utd vs Arsenal

Date, time and coverage: Sunday 10 November, 16:10 GMT. The match will be shown live on Sky Sports in the UK. Follow ManUtd.com's live blog and MUTV Online's exclusive radio commentary.

Form guide: United are unbeaten in eight games in all competitions following the Champions League draw with Real Sociedad in midweek. We will have a better idea of where a United win would leave the Reds in the table when kick-off rolls around on Sunday, given that eight other Premier League fixtures will have been completed by the time United face the current league leaders. Arsenal have been on a roll since losing their opening match of the campaign at home to Aston Villa, and will still lead the pack regardless on Sunday evening. The Gunners clinically despatched Liverpool at home last Saturday and will be buoyed by their midweek away win over Borussia Dortmund.
Ins and outs: David Moyes will be hoping to have Michael CarrickJonny Evans andRafael in contention after injuries ruled the trio out of the trip to San Sebastian. Marouane Fellaini will be available as the suspension for his red card at Estadio Anoeta, of course, only applies in Europe. Jack Wilshere was due for tests on the injured ankle that sidelined him for the Liverpool and Dortmund fixtures, but Arsene Wenger was more hopeful over the possibility of a return for Theo Walcott and Mathieu Flamini.
Betting: There's little to choose between United and Arsenal, with the Reds priced at 2.20 for a win with bwin, while the Gunners are 3.30 and the draw is 3.30. However if you fancy backing Robin van Persie to score against his old side, you can get a tempting 29.00 on the Dutchman scoring first in a 2-0 win.
Last meeting: Arsenal formed a guard of honour for the Reds at the Emirates Stadium in April after we had secured our 20th league title, but the friendly welcome stopped there. Theo Walcott put the hosts ahead after just two minutes of what developed into a fiercely contested encounter, with van Persie marking his return to his old haunt by bagging the equaliser from the penalty spot just before half-time. It stayed at 1-1, extending United's unbeaten run over our north London rivals to four games.
Did you know? Ryan Giggs has made 49 appearances against Arsenal, by some distance the most of any United player. It's a record that, like many others set by the Welsh veteran, is likely to last a very long time. His first appearance against the Gunners came on 19 October 1991.
The manager: Following Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement (and even David Moyes swapping Goodison for OT for that matter), Arsene Wenger is comfortably the longest-serving manager in British football, having succeeded Bruce Rioch in the Arsenal hot seat on 30 September 1996. However, in 23 visits to Old Trafford Wenger has left victorious on just four occasions.
Star man: German international Mezut Ozil has been a big hit since arriving at Arsenal from Real Madrid for £42m in the summer. Goals and assists have flowed from the 25-year-old, although midfield team-mate Aaron Ramsey has played a big part in their good start to the season with 11 goals. Quote/unquote: "It"s time to start putting our foot on the pedal and motor on. We have to do that if we want to remain in contention to win the league. Arsenal are in a good vein of form. They are the team to catch. We have to make sure we are right and ready for the challenge." - Rio Ferdinand
Whistle-blower: Northumberland official Michael Oliver will be the man in the middle on Sunday. The 28-year-old, who at 25 was the youngest referee to take charge of a match since the formation of the Premier League, has issued 25 yellow cards in six Premier League matches this season, including five in our defeat by West Brom.

Rivals watch: Chelsea host West Brom at 15:00 GMT on Saturday. Tottenham get Sunday's action off to an early start against Newcastle at midday, before Man City face struggling Sunderland at 14:05 GMT.
